Home | News | The Bothy | How to get here Welcome to the New Holland Organic Farm Bothy. We have recently converted our old farm Bothy into simple but very pleasant and comfortable self catering holiday accommodation for two people. New Holland Organic FarmNew Holland is a working Organic farm surrounded by beautiful countryside, on the main island of Orkney, off the north coast of Scotland. We are passionate about our way of farming here and love to discuss our methods and aims with our visitors, who are free to walk around our 900-acres of pastures and heather. And if you are thinking about converting to organic farming yourself what a better way to get acquainted with what’s involved!
Orkney is also exceptionally rich in archaeological sites such as the world-renowned Skara Brae, Minehowe, and Maes Howe. There is also a wealth of more recent history relating to the famous Scapa Flow, during the two world wars. Or if bird-watching is more your thing - Orkney also is a well known bird-watcher’s paradise with many native and migrating species to be seen. There are scenic walks along breath-taking cliffs or beautiful deserted beaches, or exciting trips to Orkney’s Outer Isles. Scattered across our islands are also numerous craft workshops, museums, swimming pools and a modern sports centre with fitness suite. Only a visit could show you just how much Orkney has to offer!
